Per una pedagogia ecologico-ambientale. Principi e categorie educative

Abstract

Abstract: The Man has always experienced a complex relationship with nature and with the environment. After many years of violence towards nature, it is time to rethink about the way they relate with it, the way they experience it. This is the reason why it is necessary to develop a pedagogy and education it would be reductive to define only as environmental because the educational relationship with nature and the environment involves the man in all his complexity, as an individual and as an existential reality, as a “social animal” and as a political entity. This essay, starting from a Neohumanist anthropology of education, outlines an environmental pedagogy which does not only propose an ecological behaviour, but also it claims that the subject assumes a way of being, to perceive himself differently in the relationship between man and nature. In this perspective, a new ecological Paideia is theorized, within which the men’s responsibility and respect towards nature can mature and, at the same time, his sense and meaning of being in the world and establishing relations with the other men, with nature and with the environment can develop, too.

Riassunto: L’uomo vive, da sempre, un complesso rapporto con la natura e l’ambiente. Dopo anni e anni di violenza nei confronti della natura è giunto il momento di ripensare il modo in cui rapportarsi ad essa, il modo in cui viverla. È per questo che è necessario elaborare una pedagogia e una educazione che aggettivare come ambientale è riduttivo, perché il rapporto educativo con la natura e l’ambiente investe l’uomo nella sua complessità, come individuo e realtà esistenziale e come “animale sociale” e soggetto politico. Il presente saggio, muovendo da una antropologia dell’educazione di stampo neoumanistico, delinea una pedagogia ambientale che non si limita a proporre comportamenti ecologici, bensì ha la pretesa di far assumere al soggetto un modo di essere, di percepirsi diverso nel rapporto uomo/natura. In tale prospettiva è teorizzata una nuova Paideia ecologica, all’interno della quale maturano responsabilità e rispetto per la natura e, al tempo stesso, senso e significato dello stare al mondo dell’uomo e delle relazioni che stabilisce con gli altri uomini, con la natura, con l’ambiente.
