LA CRITICA DELLA VALUTAZIONE NELLE POLITICHE DELLA CONOSCENZA, DELL’ EDUCAZIONE E DEL WORKFARE/THE CRITICS OF EVALUATION IN POLICIES OF KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND WORKFARE

Abstract

In this article the critique of evaluation is analyzed both in the field of university, education and scientific research policies and in the field of active labor policies, a conventional term by which one of the functions of Workfare, a peculiar form of the conservative welfare state, is understood. The article elaborates some basic outlines for developing a critique of evaluation understood as power. And it analyzes this power with respect to the specific areas of knowledge policies, social policies and employment policies. The article establishes continuities, discontinuities and contradictions in the relationship between two often non-communicating analyses that have nevertheless been elaborated over the past 40 years in the field of Foucauldian and Bourdensian studies. Finally, the problem of evaluation is contextualized in the problematic unfolding history of neoliberalism, whose historical and current genesis is also provided.
