Abstract


The article provides an analysis of a subtle link between the neoliberal conception of education and the transition from teaching of knowledge to learning by skills. Particularly  we want to point out the contrast in the pedagogical debate, even before the sociological one, between two different meanings of teaching for skills.

The article focuses in particular on the Italian case and takes a critical position with respect to the legislative interventions of our country in the school field in recent decades.
