Ingeborg Bachmanns Lyrik in der italienischen Literatur: Maria Luisa Spaziani, Grazia Livi und Amelia Rosselli

Chiara Conterno

Abstract

This essay deals with the reception of Ingeborg Bachmann’s works in twentieth-century Italian poetry, arguing for the importance of her lyrical work in contemporary Italian literature. It first examines Maria Luisa Spaziani’s and Grazia Livi’s fictional interviews with the Austrian poetess and their use of quotations from her work. Next, it considers Amelia Rosselli’s poem Impromptu to outline her revision of some of Bachmann’s themes, thus highlighting a great affinity between the two authors.
