Ingeborg Bachmann und die Phänomenologie der Identitätssuche im Werk von Pier Vittorio Tondelli
Abstract
Pier Vittorio Tondelli (1955-1991) took on a major role in the reception Ingeborg Bachmann met with from Italian fiction writers. The essay focuses on the short story My sweet car (1987) and the novel Camere separate (1989), in order to show how the psychological identification with the protagonist of Bachmann’s short story Das dreißigste Jahr is achieved through a close confrontation with the Austrian writer. In Tondelli’s view, Bachmann’s characters mirror his own troubled soul, that of a restless fugitive who knowingly leaves behind any distinction between male and female.
