Abstract

The article provides basic considerations on the possibilities of geographically well-founded literary history. Space and literary geography should not be seen as mutually exclusive opposites. Rather it is an attempt to reflect the complexity of literary history in a panoptic perspective which is particularly oriented towards the model of the network, as in the already realized Atlante della letteratura tedesca and in other atlases literature. Fiorentino considers this primarily as an opportunity to map the potential simultaneity of literary history in a space which could be conceived as a world literature present.
