Poesia e non-verità. Tabori fra autobiografia e autorappresentazione

Abstract

Through a close reading of his autobiography, based on the two short writings Autodafè and Exodus, this paper aims to provide a portrait of the figure of Georg Tabori as outlined by the playwright himself. It also investigates within these two texts the points of contact with the rest of the Taborian oeuvre, both from a purely thematic perspective and for what concerns the unmistakable black humour that characterizes his style.
