Atlanten, Netzwerke, Topographien Italienisch-deutsche Überlegungen zum Verhältnis von Literaturgeschichte und Raum

Fabian Lampart

The article outlines the general horizon of questions and problems concerning the research field of literature and space and it deals with recent positions arisen in the discussion about the spatial turn. Italian and German research traditions are also outlined and completed through a recognition of the current representation modes of literary knowledge – the most important literary-geographical studies and the two most important literarhistorische Atlases. This theme also involves the question of the relevance of a knowledge of literary traditions within literary and fictional space representations. The introductory considerations are completed through a presentation of the individual contributions in the present issue which analyze the relationship between literary history and space.
